Opening Edit option:- Press

main menu.
Free mode side selection and BGM Test option:- Press Square,
Triangle(2), Square, L1, R1, R2, L2 at the main menu.
All FMV sequences:- Press L1, Triangle, R1, Triangle, L2, Square, R2,
Square at the main menu.
All generals:- Press Square, R1, Triangle, L1, Triangle, R2, Square,
L2 at the main menu.
All Shu generals:- Press L1, Square, Triangle, R2, L1, L2(2), R1 at
the main menu.

Play as Lu Bu - To use Lu Bu
in Free or Challenge Modes beat "Battle at Hu Lao Gate" in Musou Mode,
get 1000 or more KO's, and defeat Lu Bu himself.
More characters - If you have a Dynasty Warriors 2 file saved to your
memory card and you have all the characters; when you start the game
up insert your memory card with the savings. All the characters will
be updated to your game.
How to Get the Hex Mark - Go to Cheng Du and run to Pang Tong and help
him before he dies. If you help him long enough so you will see the
screen say Special item discovered. Go to the spot
where the white circles show you to go. Look for a crate in that area
& bust it open with your weapon, it'll have an item pouch - pick it
up. When you beat the level it will show you having a HEX mark (the
hex mark gives you a gray horse).
How to Get the Bodyguard Manual - Go to the level called the Siege of
He Fan Castle. Go to where Xhu Zhu is at. Defeat him on the ridge; the
screen will say 'special item discovered'. When you beat the level it
will show all the items you got. It will show you having a bodyguard
manual which is supposed to make your bodyguards stronger.
Unlimited Musou - This is if you play a Guan Yu in his very last level
in musou mode. You should go to the east gate on the map and then
there should be a shower of meteors. Then it will say special item
found. Go to that spot and you have true musou. This means you do your
special musuo every time.
Fire Arrows - Play Chang Ban on the Hard Difficulty. You have to play
on Cao Cao's forces. Defeat You Shu before the fire attack takes
place. A special items message will appear.
Alternate Fire Arrows - Be Cao Cao's forces in Chi Bi. You need to
defeat Huang Gai before he can start the fire attack. The wind is the
cue to start the plan for Huang Gai. A special item message will
appear. Go to the place on the map where it is supposed to be. Open
the crate and find the fire arrows.
Mousou Always Maxed - Play Gyan Yu's escape level on Hard. An item
message will appear around the 4th gate after killing all of the
officers up to that point.
Get Imperial Saddle - To get the Imperial Saddle, which will let you
mount any horse. Do the Battle at Yi Ling, you have to select the Shu
forces. Defeat Zhu Ran before Wu's fire attack can take place. Then go
to Lu Xun and defeat him. It will say supply unit discovered, then go
to where the circles appear and kill the supply captain and get the
item pouch. You will receive the Imperial saddle.
Get the Power Scroll - To get the Power Scroll start the battle of He
Fei, NOT the Siege of He Fei Castle. Select the Wei Forces, when Gan
Ning Comes to attack Cao Cao, kill Gan Ning and get the item pouch
that he leaves behind. You will get the Power Scroll. The Power Scroll
will allow you to never lose weapon deadlocks.
Get Life Up 10 - To get life up 10, which will slightly increase your
heath meter. Do the Battle at Wu Zhang Plains, go to the mountain
where Cao Cao is, find the gate that is farthest south and still on
the mountain and there will be a pot. Break it open, you will get life
up 10. You
can do the battle as many times as you want until your life meter is
full.
Get Musou Up 10 - To get musou up 10, which will slightly increase you
musou meter. Do the Siege Of He Fei Castle, select the Wu forces. Go
to Xu Zhu (the really fat guy), kill him, or run by him, (it doesn't
matter what you do with him. Run all the way up to where there are a
bunch of bowmen, kill them if you feel like it,(I suggest that you
kill them or you just might get killed by them. There will be a pot,
break it open and get the thing that came out of it and your musou
meter will rise.(You can do that battle as many times as you want
until it is full.)
Life Up and Musou Up in Same Level - In the Huo Lao Gate battle there
is a life up and a Musou Up. Be the Allied forces.The life up is on
top of Hu Lao Gate. The Musou Up is on top of Fan Shui Gate!
Secret Item - During the battle at "Hu Lao Gate" kill Lu Bu, it should
say something like "An enemy supply has appeared." Go and kill the
supply captain. He will drop an item called "Red Hare's Saddle." This
item allows you to start on Lu Bu's horse. Red Hare! The best horse in
the game!
Where to Find and Ride Elephants - The fastest way to get to, mount,
and ride an elephant in Dynasty Warriors 3 is to begin by selecting
Sun Shang Xiang. In the Nanman Campaign, the fifth level in her game,
use bow and arrows to kill off the enemy riding the elephant, then
walk up to its side, like you would a horse, and press X. You should
then be able to ride it.

Get All Sound Tests - Go to the title screen and put in Square,
Triangle, Triangle, Square, L1, R1, R2, L2.
Good way to get 3rd weapon - Each character's 3rd weapon is really good.
If you are playing Musou mode and need to get your character's weapon
stronger do this. Wait until you have gotten to about the 4th level in
Musou mode, then go to free mode and do the Nanman Campaign. Defeat as
many officers as you can and at the end you will probably get your 3rd
weapon.
Opening Edit option ( Japanese version ) - At the title screen, press
R1, Square, L1, Square, R2, Triangle, L2, Triangle
Quicker way to get 3rd weapon/2nd weapon - When you want a characters
third or second weapon.Go to Tong Gate, there should be a box that
contains a weapon box. There is another weapon box you can get from an
officer called Cheng Yin {Sorry if I did not spell it right. after you
destroy Cheng Yin and get the weapon box, kill Ma chao. After you've
done this, it will show two weapons. It has a good chance of being your
third or second weapon. Reapeat this over and over and you could get
every ones third weapon.
Start level on the Red Hare - The Red Hare is Lu Bu's horse. It is the
best horse in the game. In the level Hu Lao Gate, kill Lu Bu (Ignore
Yuan Shao telling you not to fight him). After you kill Lu Bu, a message
will tell you that a supply depot has appeared. Go north to where it is
and kill the supply captain. He will give you a special item when he
dies. If you equip this item, you will start the level on the Red Hare.
Strong Mousu - If you want to use a Mousu attack where you have electric
coming out of your weapon, just do this: Play two player and whenever
you want, use your Mousu special with your partner. At the same time. In
the same place. You will be able to knock people out easily! It is a
double butt-kicker!
Unlock Lu Bu - Lu Bu is one of the best fighters in the game. To unlock
him, you must go to Hu Lao Gate (sorry if I didn't spell it right). In
that level, you must get 1,000 KOs and kill Lu Bu. To get this done,
make sure that you don't kill any gate captains or enemy generals. That
will make it much easier.
Unlock Pang Tong - To unlock Pang Tong you must beat Cheng Du on any
mode. But, you must keep Pang Tong alive the whole time. The easiest way
to do this is to be Liu Bei. That way, you only have to protect Pang
Tong and not have to worry about Liu Bei dying and therefore ending the
level.
