| Stock dividends are paid out at July 1. Even if you
purchase them the day before, and sell the day after. Don't forget to
watch the opening hours!
Buy and sell stock - If you buy a stock for $100 or
more, the price must rise 21 points from the time you bought it in order
to make any profit. Because the commission when buying/selling is (10* #of
stocks bought +50), or a total of $20/stock + $100.
Various hints
To reduce the amount you have to pay in income tax, just
before you get your tax rate set, spend your money on the stock market.
This will reduce the amount of money you have to pay out on the taxes and
you will also be able to reclaim the money you spend by selling your
shares, either at a slight loss or a slight profit. You can even hold onto
your shares and claim a dividend. The best way to make money quickly is to
build a golf course in a good area and sell it for a huge profit as it
increases in value. It is advisable to save before you build a golf course
because there is a chance that it may not increase in value. Build a ski
slope just before the ski season begins, but keep it throughout the summer
months. Although it will lose money during the summer months, it is more
profitable to keep it as it is unlikely you will be able to buy it back
during the winter.
If you lose unexpectedly and wish to continue your game,
as soon soon as you lose, click on New Game and then cancel. Quickly, go
to the subsidiary menu and sell some buildings, or go to the bank and
borrow the money you need, or just sell some shares.
Give yourself more cash, (patch) open the saved game
"Sam's" offset "0000" to "0003" change the four bytes to the number of
funds you want. (i.e. 00000100 =256 funds) make game accept "0" for
password number (hack for 1.5.2) open the saved game "Sams's", subtract
first number from second convert to hexadecimal search for this two-byte
value in CODE 2, change it to "00". |
