Additional Runes - When you are at a campsite, keep buying a Rune until
you cannot get another one. Do not leave the campsite yet. Instead, save
and quit the game. Go to a bonus map and play for awhile until you have
enough gems for a Rune. Then, save and quit the game. Load the game at
the campsite and you will then be able to buy another Rune that you
could not get before. Repeat this as many times as desired.
When at the White Mountains: SE Mountains Edge, towards the bottom and
end of the map, you can find a random Rune beneath some trees. Pick it
up, save the game, then quit. Reload the same level and you can find a
different Rune. Keep doing this as many times as desired. It is possible
to pick up all of the Runes there.
Ancient Artefacts - Use a link cable to connect to a Gamecube and play
its version of The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. Ancient
Artefacts that can be sold for extra gems can now be found.
Deagol's Skull artifact - As Frodo in the Slopes Of Mount Doom level, go
up the nearest set of several stairs and kill the standard bearer at the
top. Open the chest. Walk back to the beginning and go east until you
reach Gollum. Open the chest to find the artefact, Deagol's Skull.
Defeating Denethor - To defeat Denethor, you need to block his torches.
The easiest way to defeat him is to use the Shield skill and stand in
front of him. Do not stand too close or he will knock you down and
immediately destroy your shield. Another way to defeat him is to use the
Blinding Aura to stun the Gondorian soldiers. This is difficult because
you need to position the soldiers directly in front of Denethor. You can
only defeat him by blocking his torches; do not waste your Spirit
Points.
Duplicate items - In multi-player mode, have one player give an item to
the other. Then, have the receiving player save the while the sender
does not. Next, have both players quit. If done correctly, both players
should now have all the items.
Smeagol - To unlock Smeagol you will need to beat the game with 2
characters.
Bonus Levels - Fangorn: Beat the game with all characters.
Weathertop: Beat the game with all artefacts
Helms Deep: Beat the game with any character
Moria: Beat the game with any character
SHELOB - Go to Shelob's Side and slash there until she dies. The place
where you slash her must not be to near to her sting and not to near to
her face.(Watch out, Shelob can do poison and has a special attack to
slow you down) Once you defeat Shelob you will receive an artifact,
Shelob's Stinger.
MOUTH OF SAURON - I recommend playing as Legolas since this boss is more
on melee combat. Start first by closing the gates on the right and on
the left after that both gates will automatically open. Now kill all the
orc pikesmen guarding the archers (watch out, the archers can do
poison). Then the Mouth of Sauron will advance towards you, attack him
until he dies. Then go to the right gate to meet your allies.
COSAIR CAPTAIN - This won't be much of a problem if you're Legolas. Just
charge your arrows and shoot him till he dies, Aragorn and Gimli will
help you defeat this boss.
SARUMAN - At first, just activate your lightning beam and shield skills.
Then go and attack Saruman until he activates his shield at this point
just attack him eith your lightning beam till his shield wears off. Now
Saruman will escape. Try to not step on Saruman's blue traps and avoid
Saruman's fire ball attack. When you beat him you will get Orb of
Saruman.
CAPTAIN SHAGRAT - When playing as Sam, go to the Shrine and buy all the
Kingsfoil herbs then go to a place where the are two chests, hide behind
one and the orc captain will go there and just turn around and around.
At that time keep on slashing him from behind the chest he will die
eventually.
GOLLUM - Now this is the hardest one. When Gollum wears the ring and
goes to you keep on slashing him till you knock back him. Repeat this
till you make him fall oven the edge.
Witchkings Crown: Defeat the Witchking of Anfmar to receive it.
Orb of Saruman: Defeat Saruman to obtain it.
Galadriels Lock: Look for it at the Plains of Ithilien with either
Aragorn Legolas or Gimli
Galadriel's Lock artifact - In the North Ithilian level, kill all the
Orcs. You may need to go back and forth a lot to find all of them. As
soon as you kill all the Orcs, go to the ledge with the waterfall then
go right. You will see about thirty butterflies flocking the tree at the
dead end. The artifact is near the tree. Do not enter the waterfall or
you will have to start the process again.

Gollum. Open the chest to find the artifact, Deagol's Skull.
Simbelmyne - With Eowyn on the level, River Crossing, cross the river.
The camera shows a horde of orcs. The artefact, Simbelmyne, will be
below a pond in the valley where the orcs are.
Saruman's palantir - To get the artifact "saruman's palantir", you must
be gandalf. when fighting saruman, go to the top of his room. there is a
ledge at the top of his room. find the stairs that go up there then go
up the sairs and left. you will find a chest, open it and you will find
saruman's palantir.
Saruman's Palantir artifact - When you face Saruman with Gandalf, go to
the top of the map. Break the vases and open the chest to find it.
Double of any item - Trade with one of your friends or yourself to
another game with a link cable. with the other gameboy, save your game
with the other gameboy but dont save the gameboy that just traded. After
you saved your game, turn both of them off. turn them on again and you
should have your item and the other gameboy should have its item.
Finally, have one of the gameboys trade its item and one should have 2!
Fanghorn level - Successfully complete the game with all the characters.
Feather Of Gwaihir artifact - With Gandalf at the level where you have
to light the two beacons, go through and light the east beacon. Then, go
back to the starting level and go all the way to the upper left. The
feather will be there.
Free Elf Rune II and hidden village - When you reach Ithilien, North
with Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, or Gandalf, go to the waterfall and walk
upwards. You will enter a secret village, with a Ranger Hollow, a Forge,
and a couple of houses. Talk to the village elder to get the Elf Rune
II- Nimblefoot for free.
Witch King - When battling the Witch King with Eyowen kill his mount
then lead the King to the top of your screen where there are three
rocks. On the left side of the shattered rock the King should get stuck.
He will spin really fast and be unable to attack. (Most of the time) You
can then rapidly hit him until he dies. The circle that usually is a
compass, has turned green. That is the amount of life the King has left.

Extra Help From Rune Forges
Price Guide Tips: If the words of an object are written in
Yellow: Common, small amount gained
Green: Uncommon, ok amount gained
Red: Rare, large amount gained
Blue: Super rare, huge amount gained
Helm's Deep level - Successfully complete the game as any character.
Hidden Quest - When you reach Anduin River, Corsair Camp with Aragorn,
Legolas, or Gimli there will be a woman looking for her brother. To
find, her go to the top of the screen when you first enter the level.
Find her brother and lead him back to her to get an item.
Making sure Uruk-Hai are dead - Listen carefully when an Uruk-Hai falls
down. You should hear it scream. If you do not hear it, then it is not
dead.
Moria level - Successfully complete the game as any character.
Play as Sam - Use a link cable to connect to a Gamecube and play its
version of The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. Sam will be
unlocked in multi-player or bonus maps as a selectable character.
Play as Smeagol - Successfully complete the game with at least two
characters to unlock Smeagol in the Helm's Deep or Moria levels. He can
also be selected in multi-player mode.
Shelob's Stinger artefact - After you defeat Shelob as Sam, go straight
up to find a barrel. Smash the barrel to find the stinger. You can also
find this artefact in multi-player more. Note: If you find an artefact
in multi-player mode, both players will get it.
There And Back Again artifact - After you save the girl's brother in the
Corsair Camp, return to the beginning of the level. A group of Orcs will
be mobbing a woman. Save the woman by killing the Orcs. She will take
you to a barn and open the door. Walk through the barn. Talk to the
little boy. He will tell you he lost many possessions, including the
book. Smash all the barrels in the area to find the artefact.
Weathertop level - Successfully complete the game with all artefacts
collected.
